This is a view of the stage and audience area on the eve of the Rainforest World Music Festival 2006, shot from Dewan Lagenda. The field will look rather destroyed by Sunday night.
I will be at the Festival starting tomorrow, shuttling between Santubong Kuching Resort and Sarawak Cultural Village for press conferences, workshops, concerts, writing, emailing, food and sleep. The whole idea of the event gets my engine going.
The only promise of updates I can make is the daily papers. Andrea and I will be submitting news daily and if time permits, I may update at the following places:
The Press Room facilities look impressive this year. Tan did some chest-thumping over that fact and seemed a little shocked when I decided to hug him. HEE.
Met a good number of familiar faces, renewed acquaintances, swapped news, made new friends and checked out the working crowd this year. It’s good to actually attend the media briefing and opening dinner this time, and I’m quite excited over the prospect of meeting new people.
I am a little bummed because I can’t seem to locate my trademark Green Dinosour Hat.
See you at the Festival!
