The hazards of being a book reviewer

Contest ends when the clock strikes 12 here in Malaysia. I noticed that the email-submitted entry was not picked up by the trackback, so if you wrote something for this contest, be sure to let me know via reply to the post or at tarlia[AT]gmail.com.

The many issues raised by Tunku Halim’s letter (the fact that it was written and sent, rather than the contents) to The Star regarding Michael Cheang’s review of his latest book “44 Cemetery Road” are of personal interest to me as a reader, writer and book reviewer.

That opening sounds like I’m about to jump into the issue myself, doesn’t it?

But, nah. ;-) Go see what Sharon Bakar has to say about it. She sums up the whole issue nicely.
