You are reading this because you came looking for the POEM CLUB by TYPEwitch. It is something I decided to try out in August 2025, and it took the rest of the year to deal with what I wanted it to be. I did another run in the first quarter of 2026 just to see how it feels, and I think I like it. So I’m carrying on.

The ungovernable POEM CLUB is a poetry subscription where I send out a poem and a letter once a month. It is both a call to return to the analog life  in a world where we don’t own anything tangible anymore, and a move to bring art and tokens back into your hands.

• whatever art I explored/created the previous month
• little tokens that I thrifted or acquired to share

Malaysian subscribers have three options:

• One Month (RM15) – great for a one-off or if you’re just trying it out
• Three Months (RM40) – a nice middle ground for a better feel of my work
• Six Months (RM70) – you’re in it to see what I am going to create for the long-ish haul

International subscribers can join my Ko-Fi membership at USD7/month and cancel whenever you want to end the subscription.

Sign up before the 20th of the month to receive the following month’s letter.

FAQ

Is this subscription suitable for children?
No. I recommend a minimum age of at least 16 years old, but my target audience are adults.

Do you use any form of artificial intelligence (AI) in your creative or administrative process?
No. I use my own two brain cells and hands. 

Is there tracking for my mail?
No. I’m sending these out on untracked mail. If you would like to pay extra for tracked mail, email me and we can talk.

How long does it take for my mail to arrive?
Within Malaysia, it should take up to a week, give or take some. For international addresses, it takes between 2 to 4 weeks. 

What happens if my letter doesn’t arrive?
If you letter has not arrived, contact Pos Malaysia to lodge a report. They will only entertain queries from the recipient. If you’re outside Malaysia, I’m not sure. Let me get back to you on that one.

Will you replace missing/damaged letters?
No. Once I drop them off in the big red box, pray to your deity of choice that Pos Malaysia do their job. But do let me know if it didn’t arrive, or arrived damaged. I’ll see if I can work something out for you.

Is my mailing address safe with you?
Yes. I will not go to your house/office or disclose your address to a third party.

How about my email address or phone number?
I will not disclose that to a third party either. However, I may use it to contact you about your subscription ending, or for any other matters concerning your letter. 

What if I need to change address?
Email me before the 20th.

Can I gift a subscription to friends?
Yes! With Malaysian addresses, you only need to fill in the form again with new mailing addresses. With international addresses, I am unsure if Ko-Fi allows you to take up multiple subscriptions and I will update this answer once I know. Otherwise, contact me and we can work something out.

When do you mail the letters?
Once the month’s cut off date arrives (20th), allow about 5-10 days for me to send yours off. This depends on the number of letters for that month, but I aim to finish sending everyone’s letter by the end of the month.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Depending on your subscription plan, you might only need to wait it out. If you came here via Ko-Fi, you can cancel any time because it is a reoccurring plan. 

Can I return the mail and get a refund?
No. I’ve already spent the money.
